Xavier Day
Join us on May 7th as we come together as a community for Xavier Day 2021!
What is Xavier Day? It is the opportunity for our parents, alumni, dedicated faculty and staff, current and future students, friends of the Xavier community, and newest alumni: the Class of 2021 seniors (graduating on May 28th) to join us and celebrate the pride you have for Xavier Catholic Schools. It is also a day to support all current and future hawks. Our goal for this year is to raise $165,000 for Xavier Catholic Schools. Some generous donors will be offering gift match opportunities to make your gift go further; additional matching information will be coming soon. Together, we can do this!
Xavier Day celebrates five years! In the event’s fifth year, we are excited to announce a week of celebration leading up to the official Xavier Day. There are so many great things going on at Xavier Catholic Schools, we need more than just one day to celebrate with our Xavier family. Specifics of the week are still evolving at print time, but each of our campuses will have a day that is focused specifically on that campus: Tuesday we will showcase the Xavier Elementary School, Xavier Middle School will be highlighted on Wednesday, Xavier High School on Thursday, and Friday, on the official “Xavier Day”, we celebrate the entire System!
There are several ways you can participate in Xavier Day:
Celebrate. Celebrate your appreciation for Xavier Catholic Schools on Xavier Day by wearing Xavier gear; rep your favorite t-shirt, hat, or sweatshirt. Post on social media using the #XavierDay2021, use this day as the opportunity to share your favorite Xavier memory or experience, share throwback photos of you with your friends, a favorite teacher, etc. Or share a current photo of you wearing your Xavier gear with your family, friends, and/or colleagues. See the social media toolkit at the bottom of this page for more ideas.
Unite. Xavier Day is a day that the Xavier family can come together and share with others the special community we are. This includes our alumni, parents, current students, faculty/staff, grandparents, benefactors, and area parishes. Whether you are in Appleton, across the state, country, or international, the use of social media on Xavier Day allows us to unite together, near or far, and celebrate the impact Xavier Catholic Schools has had on each one of us. We welcome everyone to be a part of the Xavier family.
New this year (pending current COVID-19 health regulations): If you live in or near the Appleton area, join us at Xavier High School from 4:00 – 6:00 pm for food trucks and activities that the entire family can enjoy. More details to come as we closely monitor the ability to host this gathering.
Support. If you are able to, we ask you to prayerfully consider making a donation to Xavier Catholic Schools. No gift is too small, and every donation plays a vital role in maintaining and improving the excellence of Xavier Catholic Schools, and furthers its position as the area’s premier Catholic educational experience.
You can personally direct your gift to one of the designations within the St. Francis Xavier Fund or support one of our many Xavier Foundation endowed funds which support both scholarships and programs.
Your gift may be eligible for a gift match! Please see the matching gift opportunities below:
Additional opportunities coming soon.
Donations can be made through the online donation form on the right side of this page. Checks made to ‘Xavier Catholic Schools’ can be sent to Attn: Xavier Day 1600 W Prospect Ave, Appleton, WI 54914.

What Moves You?
This event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2021 (having been rescheduled from October 2020). Updates will be posted here as we are currently awaiting approval from the City of Appleton and are monitoring local COVID levels.
Save the date and register to join us on Saturday, May 8, for a day combined with fun, exercise, and community! Xavier Catholic Schools is hosting What Moves You, an event that includes our 6th annual Tour de Francis Benefit Ride (previously held the first Sunday in May), and 3rd annual 5K Fun Run & Dog Walk! There is something for everyone- whether you like to bike, run, or walk; we hope you will join us!
All dollars generated from this community event allow Xavier Catholic Schools to provide students opportunities for excellence in the classroom, fine arts, and in many extra-curricular and athletic experiences. In addition, every dollar helps pay the quality, dedicated staff and helps make a St. Francis Xavier education accessible to as many families as possible.
Event will be held rain or shine. Since this is a fundraising event, unfortunately, we will be unable to accommodate refunds if the event is canceled.
Celebrate
Dear Xavier Catholic Schools Parents, Alumni, Grandparents, Staff and Friends,
Each year we are overwhelmed by the generosity and support received at Celebrate, Xavier Catholic Schools' largest fundraising event. This year is no different. The past year has certainly brought about challenges, but it has also been a year of new opportunities such as livestreaming an event as large as Celebrate, making it possible for supporters out of state and internationally to participate. No matter their location, attendees were able to tune in to the livestream, watch the Fund Our Future video, and celebrate Xavier Catholic Schools together (virtually).
Thanks to you, Celebrate 2021 was a huge success. We are excited to share the total amount raised is $562,762.84! This is a new record!
We would like to thank our 40 sponsors, 231 donors, and the 354 registered guests who helped make this virtual event our most successful to date. In addition, the transition to a virtual event would not have been possible without the tireless work of our planning committee.
Thank you for helping us to further fund our mission of academic excellence, community engagement, dedication to faith formation, and the individual growth of our students in a safe environment.
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to each of you,
Phil Riley, Bob Biebel, Lisa Pfaff, and Stephanie Zinser
