On behalf of our faculty, staff, students, and the entire Xavier community, I welcome you to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System. We are a growing school system with enrollment of more than 1400 students on four unique campuses. We possess a legacy of excellence that spans nearly 40 years, and are blessed and honored to partner with the eight supporting Appleton parishes and several more regional parishes throughout the Fox Valley to provide the highest quality faith and academic education to the children in our community from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Our mission at Xavier is to provide a Christ Centered community, dedicated to faith formation, academic excellence, community engagement, and individual growth of our students in a safe environment.
I began my ministry as president this summer, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Xavier family. My wife, Terri, and I moved to Appleton from Dallas, Texas in late June and are truly enjoying our new hometown and community. Terri and I have both spent the last 27 years as Catholic educators in the Diocese of Dallas. I have served as a principal in three different parish schools for 20 years and Terri has taught at many levels, the last 17 years as a middle school math teacher. We are dedicated to the mission of Catholic education and are very excited to come here to Xavier, and begin this new journey with an amazing community.
Parents and families, thank you for trusting us with the Catholic education for your sons and daughters. We understand the sacrifices you make to give your children this great gift and we are grateful for your continued support as we have navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be opening in-person on August 26th and are ready to begin a new year with your children.
We are very honored that you have chosen to be a part of the Xavier Catholic School System. You bless us with your support in our mission and join us as integral part of this tremendous community of faith. Please continue to pray for our administrators and teachers in the education and formation of our young people, especially in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yours in Christ,
Philip R. Riley Jr.
